Let's Get Festive!

Hey Everyone! Casey here today to share some goodies from the festive kit. I absolutely love this Jovial line from Basic Grey. The colors have great depth and the way Devon matched up the buttons, ribbon, and paper to make it into the Festive Kit made it really fun to scrap. The first layout highlights one of my new favorite techniques. If you don't have perfect match of ribbon, just use your score it to make the pleats and then simply sew it down to lay flat using your sewing machine... Here's a closer look at the layout and at the pleated paper...

This next layout also has some beautiful festive goodies in it. I'm loving those fun American Crafts, Merry, Thickers right now, too. The colors are just so much fun! On this layout, I fussy cut some of those beautiful elements out of the paper and added a few buttons as accents. Here is a closer look...

Holidays

Hi Everyone,  today it is me, Nancy.  I have some fun new projects to share using some of the papers and buttons from the Festive Kit and maybe a little something extra.  Right now, in the Etsy store, the Festive kit is on sale for only $14.50.  And, if you become a fan of Catch the Moments Kits on Facebook or join us over in the new forums, you can get a code to save even more!

The papers in the Festive Kit are such beautiful colors and just because this kit came from a holiday line, it doesn't mean it has to be used that way.  The greens, reds and yellows are perfect for outside shots.  For this first layout I used a few of the sheets (front and back sides...don't you love double sided paper) and a bit of seam binding from my stash with an old chipboard ornament.  The colors were great for these outside shots.  I also used some Thickers from an older kit.

I had this photo of my oldest daughter from the same day and the colors blended so perfectly with her sweater, so you know I just had to use them.  I love the coordinating buttons, they tied in so well with the floral cluster.

And finally, I love this kit so much and I couldn't wait to share with you all.....

A bit of Love; the Love Kit and add on.  The American Crafts papers in this line are such great colors.  I love the mix of pinks, blues, and kraft; and the flowers, both felt, paper and metal are adorable. Did I mention how much I love these fun new Thickers?  I guess we know now why this kit is called Love.  lol

I really debated making a teal tree, but since I had a scrap of green from the Jolly Kit on my desk, I chose to use that instead.

Have you made anything with a Catch the Moments kit?  I would love to see it!  Leave a link in the comments  where I can find it.

Hugs.

Nancy

Ho, Ho, Ho

Hi everyone, Nancy here with a few projects using the fabulous Jolly Kit and a few extras from the store.

These papers worked great with my holiday photos from 2009.  The papers are so beautiful I really didn't need a lot of embellishment to put the pages together.

For the first layout I dyed some white lace from the store with a pink mist to make it coordinate with the papers.  I used one of the little American Crafts tags for hidden journaling.

Echo Park Paper, Custom dyed seam binding and lace, Prima Flowers, American Crafts rose brad, tag and Thickers

The rose brads worked wonderfully in my banner made from the American Crafts tags.  I cut some rose ribbon into individual flowers to gather in the lower corner.  And I love mixing my Thickers to make my title really pop.

I simply adore the Merry Teal Thickers, the font and the color are just beautiful.

Don't forget that if you have a project you have made using any of the products from the Catch the Moments kits or store we would love to see them.  Just send an email to dvnmre@yahoo.com  You could be featured right here on the Catch the Moments blog!
